I had the pleasure of meeting Nina one Christmas a few years before her passing. Drawn in by her graciousness, quick wit and ready smile, I asked if she would like to have lunch sometime. We became fast friends. Our lunches were only once or twice a month, but were filled with laughter, reviews of the books we were reading, plenty of instances of “No Max” and Nina’s favorite shrimp dishes at Tommy’s wok. She was a beautiful and caring person and I think very fondly of her each and everyday when I put my lunch in the lunch bag she gave me. She would be happy to know that she touched so many lives and is still so missed by those who knew her. We love you, Nina.
