On the one year anniversary of Nina's passing, there is a still a hole in the heart of Carmel. If Nina were still here, she would undoubtedly been shocked by the shenanigans of the new tenants at Mayfair. She would had already read the latest mystery books, and would have cried when she talked about her daughter, Grace Anne. She would have thrown peanuts up into the oak tree, while telling Max not to bark at the squirrel. She would have a few choice words for the oak worms that invaded her patio, and would have "almost fainted" at the sight of another Max, the cute property manager. She would have used the word "jeepers" to describe the daily news report, and watched a Harry Potter marathon before falling asleep. Jeepers, we miss you, Nina! Love, Maria, Ricky & Teddy
